In Ekta Kapoor’s Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham remake, this actor will play Kajol’s role

Ekta Kapoor has reportedly found her Anjali (played by Kajol in Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham) in young actor Yogita Bihani. Ekta is making a TV remake of the Karan Johar film.

Ekta Kapoor, who is remaking Karan Johar’s hit family saga Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham for TV, has found her Anjali (played by Kajol in the film) in young actor Yogita Bihani. Salman Khan’s promo for his upcoming game show, Dus Ka Dum, also featured Yogita. The 2001 film starred Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Kareena Kapoor, Kajol and Jaya Bachchan in lead roles.

A Mumbai Mirror report quoted a source as saying, “Earlier, Erica Fernandes of Kuch Rang Pyaar Ke Aise Bhi was being considered for the part but thanks to Yogita’s newfound popularity she will play the part in the show which is titled Dil Hi Toh Hai.”

Confirming the report, casting director Mukesh Chhabra also tweeted, “Congratulations! #YogitaBihani for your fabulous achievement! You deserve it every bit! We are really happy to have worked with you in the Promo of Dus Ka Dum. Aim for the Stars #MCCC #Casting”
