Karan Kundra

, who became popular with the show Kitni Mohabbat Hai, set the ball rolling in 2013. Producer Vikram Bhatt’s Horror Story (2013) was the first of the three films that he signed. "It’s smarter to sign a three-film deal as you are, then, in experienced hands. As an actor, you feel safer as you know you’re going to get a certain platform," he says.

Siddharth Shukla

of the Balika Vadhu fame has signed a similar contract with film-maker Karan Johar, who has cast him in his new film, Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania. "Signing a three-film deal means your talent is being appreciated," says Shukla, who, sources claim, may even bag the lead role in Johar’s next production.
