Richard Armitage joins Hannibal

Actor Richard Armitage is all set to join the cast of Hannibal. Wolverine actor Tao Okamoto is boarding Hannibal for season three, while David Tennant has also claimed to have inquired about a role in the series.

Actor Richard Armitage is all set to join the cast of Hannibal. The Hobbit actor will play Francis Dolarhyde, a serial killer, known as The Tooth Fairy because of his razor-sharp teeth, reported Collider.

Armitage is expected to appear in at least six episodes as Dolarhyde, a character who originally appeared in Thomas Harris's novel Red Dragon. NBC recently confirmed a major re-casting for Hannibal, as The Twilight Saga's Joe Anderson replaces Michael Pitt as Mason Verger.

Series veterans Gillian Anderson and Laurence Fishburne will be returning for the new episodes as well.
