After selling more than six million albums worldwide, the Britain's Got Talent star now hopes that a slot on Japan's biggest New Year's Eve programme will win her a whole new army of fans.
"Kohaku Uta Gassen is a massive show watched by millions and lots of them who have seen Susan on You Tube will now get to see a new very special performance,” the Mirror quoted a source close to Susan as saying.
"Susan has been practising a Japanese folk song called Wings To Fly, which she is hoping to perform live for the first time,” the source added.
The show divides popular artists into teams of red and white.
Wings To Fly was a bonus track on the Japanese version of her album, I Dreamed A Dream, which has been at No 1 in the charts despite the fact she has not been to Japan or even been promoted there.
Before flying to Tokyo, the 48-year-old singer is spending Christmas with her family and regularly attending church.
