There’s nothing to confess, but dating is out of question: Ridhima Pandit
TV actor Ridhima Pandit was linked to Hrithik Roshan’s cousin Eshaan after she posted a loving message for him on his birthday on Instagram.
TV actor Ridhima Pandit is quite surprised that her Instagram post for ‘good friend’ Eshaan Roshan, son of music composer Rajesh Roshan, and cousin of Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan, has suddenly triggered speculation. The actor who had posted a loving message for Eshaan on his birthday in May this year, is clearly unperturbed by these link-up rumours, as she says, “I don’t believe in hiding anything but why I should acknowledge it for the world. I’m not going to stop being the person I am towards my loved ones just because people are going to talk about it.”
However Ridhima feels it’s upsetting when there are families and friends involved. “I realise people are speculating but it’s not the right thing to do. I know him (Eshaan) since I was 14 and suddenly people are saying we are dating. If someone is special to me, I don’t hide them and I like to keep it out in the open. Imagine someone even asked if we were getting married,” she laughs adding that marriage is certainly not on the cards anytime soon.
On whether these rumours are picking up just because he’s a star sibling, she says she doesn’t like to put him in a sticky spot. “He doesn’t want to be known by that name. He has his own identity and he is carving one for himself. People want to term it like that for fun sake and that’s why I don’t like to talk about it. He’s extremely hard working and looking forward to be a director himself. He’s finding his grounds. The way he supported me, I will be by his side.”
Recalling how she first met Eshaan, Ridhima recollects, “We met through a common friend just after our board exams got over.I was a huge Hrithik (Roshan) fan at that time and my friends said they can make me meet him, and they took me to Eshaan who was so sweet to say that he’ll make me meet Hrithik soon. Then we forgot about meeting Hrithik and rather became a huge group of friends. Of course we met Hrithik multiple times later and he’s such a warm person.”
