Townsville is safe again! Powerpuff Girls are back in a new avatar

The Powerpuff Girls are coming back, albeit with a tweaked look. Cartoon Network revealed the first images of the reboot of the hit TV cartoon on Tuesday. Check them out:

Though the difference will be visible only to the most keen eye, we are here to help. Did you notice that Bubbles’ pigtails are upturned, and Buttercup has a little spikey-thing on her hair. Blossom, more or less, looks the same.



"It has been wonderful to see this new show team bring such passion and positive creative spirit to this iconic property," said chief content officer Rob Sorcher to IGN.com. "We know that fans of every age will appreciate this new take on saving the world before bedtime," he added.

The series has been one of the most loved TV cartoons among children and even adults. Fans are wondering if their nemeses Mojo Jojo, HIM, Amoeba Boys, Gangreen Gang and Princess Morbucks will be back too. But no matter who comes rampaging, the girls will be there to save Townsville.
