Imagine Aasif Sheikh with red lipstick, kohled-eyes, bangles and bindi. Can you not? Well, & TV will soon show you exactly that. Aasif, who plays Vibhuti Narayan in the popular show Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hain, will be seen as a decked up, desi woman on the sitcom.

Did you just say no character in Indian TV, since Ali Asgar and Sunil Grover, have managed to perfect their men-in-drag avatars? Wait till you’ve seen Aasif Sheikh play a desi woman, Vibhuti Narayan, in popular serial Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hain. Yes, his act, complete with the mandatory red lipstick, kohl eyes, bangles and bindi, looks convincing and hardly over-the-top.

Vibhuti dons the new avatar of a beautiful woman to shield his neighbour Tiwariji (Rohitash Gaud) from none other than Yamraj himself!

Asif had earlier played the roles of a kabadiwala, Radio Jockey, a bald guy and even a Sardarji, among others.

Aasif aka Vibhuti pouts as he dons the role of a young, beautiful woman on Bhabhiji Gharr Par Hain.

Talking about his new avatar, Aasif said, “Honestly, I love donning get ups. I had a lot of fun shooting the scene with Rohitashji. There is a scene where he is kissing me on my cheek too. I hope the audience enjoy this new look of mine.”
