The National Testing Agency (NTA) has floated a ₹7.5 crore tender to hire a private security agency for 24x7 protection of its headquarters, regional offices, confidential examination material, server rooms, and other critical infrastructure. The move comes as the agency undergoes reforms following the NEET-UG 2026 paper leak controversy. Under the proposed two-year contract, security personnel will safeguard sensitive exam records and restricted areas using advanced surveillance measures. The tender follows recommendations to strengthen NTA's security framework, while the CBI continues its investigation into the alleged NEET-UG paper leak that led to the exam's cancellation and re-test.
