At a charged UN Security Council session, a Trump-era envoy reiterated the U.S. red line: zero uranium enrichment inside Iran. Stressing that President Donald Trump has repeatedly offered diplomacy, the envoy warned Tehran to abandon escalation and opt for direct, serious talks behind closed doors. Iran’s UN Ambassador Amir Saeid Iravani hit back sharply, calling the zero-enrichment demand a violation of Iran’s NPT rights and proof of bad-faith negotiations.
