The first batch of pilgrims departed from Jammu base camp for the Baba Budha Amarnath Yatra in Poonch. J&K Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha flagged off the pilgrimage, with authorities coordinating arrangements and security measures for devotees travelling to the shrine.
