'Big, big problem': Top doctor on plasma therapy & mutant viruses | Covid

- As the second wave of Covid-19 infections seems to be slowly abating, the Union government has altered the treatment guidelines for the disease. Plasma therapy, which had been prescribed for specific cases, has been removed from the treatment regimen after an Oxford University study found that it didn't improve survival rates etc. Meanwhile, the government launched a new drug called 2-DG developed by the Defence Research and Development Organisation and Dr Reddy's Laboratories. Dr Rommel Tickoo, director - internal medicine, Max Healthcare explains the changes.
