'Can't allow...': What Ex-Armed Forces chiefs wrote to President, PM Modi

Five former chiefs of staff of the Armed Forces, other eminent citizens have written to President and PM Modi. Prominent citizens have expressed concern about extreme right-wing leaders' call for violence against Muslims. The letter refers to the situation on India's borders, says guard against internal disharmony. Prominent citizens have warned that public expressions of hate could tear apart the social fabric of India. The letter says the Haridwar 'Dharma Sansad' advocated picking up weapons and killing of India's Muslims; Over 100 prominent citizens stated that 'the divisive calls amount to asking the Army to participate in the genocide of citizens'. Apart from PM & President, the letter is marked to CJI, V-P Naidu, Lok Sabha Speaker, Shah & Rajnath Singh.
