China issues tough statement after suicide bombing in Pakistan kills 12, TTP claims responsibility

China has strongly condemned the suicide bombing that killed 12 people outside a court in Islamabad, Pakistan, on Tuesday. At a press briefing in Beijing, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun expressed “profound condolences” to the victims and their families, while confirming that no Chinese nationals were among the casualties. Guo reaffirmed that China firmly opposes terrorism in all forms and will continue to “steadfastly support Pakistan in combating terrorism, maintaining social stability, and safeguarding public safety.”
