Delhi-Mumbai trains to get faster with boundary wall
Updated on Apr 16, 2018 05:40 pm IST
The Delhi-Mumbai train route might get smoother as the central government has approved plans for the construction of a 500 km boundary wall to restrict the movement of cattle and people which delays the train. This is the first step to transform the train corridor into a high-speed one. Currently, the train can go as fast as 160 kmph but rarely does due to the people and cattle causing the train to go much slower. The fastest train on the route is the Rajdhani Express which completes the journey in 16 hours.
