Watch | 8-year-old made Hyderabad police commissioner for a day

Updated on Dec 16, 2015 12:58 pm IST

8-year-old M Roop Aurouna is ailing with Thalassemia. On Tuesday, he was granted his wish of becoming the Police Commissioner for a day in Hyderabad. All thanks to an NGO that grants wishes to children suffering from life threatening medical conditions. Thalassemia is a blood disorder in which the body makes an abnormal form of haemoglobin.

Aurouna, dressed in his police uniform, also met the incumbent Hyderabad Police Commissioner M. Mahender Reddy and told him about the changes he wanted to see in the city. He expressed his desire to maintain law and order and put an end to chain snatching, among other crimes.
