1st death post vaccination: Why 30-minute watch time post jab is important

• India reported its first post vaccine death on Tuesday. A government panel confirmed the death of a 68-year-old man due to anaphylaxis after taking a jab. The committee studying side effects of covid vaccine has spoken on the death. "This unfortunate event happened due to anaphylaxis. Globally, per 10,000-15,000 doses of vaccine there can be 1 case of anaphylaxis. Anaphylaxis occurs mostly within the first 30 minutes of taking the jab. Waiting for 30 mins after getting the jab is very important. Anaphylaxis can be managed & vaccinators are trained to treat it," Dr NK Arora, Covid working group (NTAGI) said.
