Coronavirus | 19 states, UTs fully locked down; private labs testing now

The Union government and the Indian Council of Medical Research conducted a press conference to provide the latest updates regarding India's fight with Covid-19. Lav Agarwal, Joint Secretary in Ministry of Health and Family Welfare announced that 19 states and Union Territories have been fully locked down to prevent spread of the Sars-Cov-2 virus, colloquially known as Coronavirus. ICMR said that 12 private laboratory chains have signed up to conduct Covid-19 tests and already begun work. Count of cases of Coronavirus infection in India has crossed 430.
