Covid: 100 'Oxygen Express' delivered nearly 6,260 tonnes of LMO since April 19

- Indian Railways said 100 'Oxygen Express' trains have completed their journey so far. Railways delivered over 6,000 tonnes of liquid medical oxygen onboard the 100 trains. An official statement said 'Oxygen Express' trains delivered nearly 6,260 tonnes of LMO. 'Oxygen Express' started its first service on April 19 & delivered LMO in 396 tankers. Till now, 407 tonnes of oxygen has been offloaded in Maharashtra & 1,680 tonnes in UP. 360 tonnes of oxygen delivered to MP, 939 tonnes to Haryana, 123 tonnes to Telangana. 40 tonnes of oxygen offloaded in Rajasthan, 120 tonnes in Karnataka, 2,404 tonnes in Delhi. 'Oxygen Express' has been delivering oxygen to states amid its rising demand due to Covid. More loaded Oxygen Express trains are already plying on tracks or are expected to start their journeys.
