Covid Flash: 48,000+ new cases in India in 24 hrs; 61 lakh vaccinations in 1 day

• India has reported 48,698 new cases in the last 24 hours. Active caseload declined to 5,95,565, less than 6 lakh after 86 days. The country's active cases constitute 1.97% of total cases. 61.19 lakh vaccine doses have been administered in the last 24 hours. A total of 31.50 crore vaccine doses have been administered so far. India has registered 64,818 recoveries in the last 24 hours. So far, 2,91,93,085 patients have recovered across the country. Daily recoveries outnumbered daily new cases for 44th consecutive day. The coronavirus recovery rate increased to 96.72%. The weekly covid positivity rate remained at 2.97%. Daily positivity rate at 2.79%, less than 5% for 19 consecutive days. Testing capacity ramped up, a total of 40.18 crore tests were conducted.
