From the highest single-day spike in Covid-19 cases to China dropping GDP goal target, here are the top ten updates on the pandemic. The health ministry in India lauded lockdown efforts and said shutdown saved lakhs of lives. A Health Ministry official said between 37,000 and 78,000 lives were saved. India saw the biggest single-day spike in Covid-19 with over 6,000 cases reported in 24 hours. Meanwhile, Dr. Harsh Vardhan was appointed as the chairman of the WHO executive board.
