Covid update: Maharashtra’s 1 crore milestone; new variant in UK; flights to UAE

• From Maharashtra administering over 1 crore vaccine doses to new variant in the UK, here are the top updates on coronavirus. Maharashtra has administered both doses to over 1 crore people in the state, as per reports. Maharashtra became the first state to achieve this feat in India. Also, Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) identified 791 women who were widowed due to Covid in the capital. Of the 791, 774 have children and 30 widows have more than five children. Meanwhile, Biocon Biologics said that it will be manufacturing antibody-based treatment for Covid-19 in India and select markets.
