Covid update: Uddhav’s lockdown warning; 100+ cases in Bengaluru building

- From Maharashtra CM’s warning to Karnataka travel restrictions, here are the top updates on the coronavirus pandemic. ICMR on Tuesday informed that the South Africa strain of Covid-19 has been found in four returnees and the Brazil variant has been found in one person. There are total of 187 cases of UK strain in India, ICMR’s Dr. Balram Bhargava informed. Meanwhile, Maharashtra chief minister Uddhav Thackeray asked citizens to follow Covid-19 norms or be prepared for another lockdown. Mumbai mayor Kishori Pednekar had also warned of lockdown amid rising Covid-19 cases. Also, Karnataka imposed travel restrictions on those coming from Kerala. Travelers from Kerala will have to show a negative RT-PCR report not older than 72 hours, as per the state government’s order. Watch the full video for more updates on the pandemic.
