Covid update: Vaccine for animals; Covishield’s shelf life extended; USA deaths

- From DCGI extending Covishield’s shelf life to Russia’s vaccine for animals, here are the top updates on the coronavirus pandemic. DCGI on Wednesday extended the shelf life of Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine Covishield from 6 months to 9 months. The vaccine is being manufactured in India by Serum Institute and is among the two vaccines currently being used in the vaccination process. Meanwhile, Russia registered its first Covid-19 vaccine for animals. The vaccine is called Carnivac-Cov.
