From China's virus origin claim to German Chancellor Angela Merkel's warning, here are the top updates on coronavirus. China claimed that Covid originated in various parts of the world in the last year but Beijing reported the virus first. China also refuted the widely-held view that the deadly contagion originated in Wuhan. China officially joined WHO's COVAX alliance for equitable distribution of coronavirus vaccine.
