Covid vaccine: India takes foreign diplomats to Hyderabad labs for briefing

With a vaccine for the Covid-19 illness seemingly around the corner, the Government of India is trying to seal partnerships with other countries for the manufacture and supply of the inoculants. Senior diplomats of over 60 countries were flown to Hyderabad by the Union government for a briefing on India's vaccine progress. Bharat Biotech and Biological E are hosting the envoys to update them on the country's contribution in the race to end the pandemic. Bharat Biotech has applied for emergency use approval for its made-in-India 'Covaxin' vaccine, while Biological E's inoculant is set to enter early-stage trials. Watch the full video for more.
