'From 1.5 lakh vials to...': Amid remdesivir shortage claims, govt reveals plan

- With many states claiming a shortage of remdesivir, an antiviral drug used in Covid-19 treatment in certain cases, the Union government revealed a plan to double its production in the coming days. Union minister Mansukh Mandaviya said that within 15 days, production of the drug would be doubled from 1.5 lakh to 3 lakh vials. On April 11, the government had banned export of remdesivir amid increasing Covid cases. Watch the full video for more.
