‘Lockdown over, not Covid’: PM Modi advises caution in festival season

PM Narendra Modi addressed the nation and advised people to exercise caution during the festival season. In his seventh address to the nation following the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, PM Modi said that the lockdown may be over but the threat of the virus still exists. 'If you are careless and moving around without mask, you are putting yourself, children and the elderly at risk,' the Prime Minister said. Prime Minister Modi added that there should be no laxity till a vaccine is available for Covid-19. The Prime Minister said the government is making all efforts to ensure that a vaccine, whenever it is launched, reaches every Indian. 'Till the time we do not get the vaccine, if behave even a little irresponsibly, we can harm ourselves and all those around us. Wear masks, maintain six-feet distance, wash hands regularly, use sanitisers and do not venture out unless absolutely necessary,' PM Modi said. PM Modi also lauded the efforts of doctors, nurses and other healthcare staffers who have been working tirelessly during the pandemic. Watch the video for all the details.
