‘No evidence that new COVID strain causes severe disease, mortality’: WHO

The World Health Organization has said that there is no evidence to suggest that the new strain of Covid causes severe diseases or mortality. World The World Health Organization's Director General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said that it is natural for a virus to mutate over time and added that there is a need to suppress transmission of all SARS-CoV-2 virus transmission. He further added that this is not the time to let your guard down and urged people to follow Covid precautions to ease pressure on health workers across the world.
