Rashtrapati Bhavan to AIIMS to border: Diyas lit to show unity | Covid-19

President of India, Ram Nath Kovind, the Vice President, M. Venkaiah Naidu, and senior government functionaries lit candles and earthen lamps on Sunday. They joined lakhs of ordinary Indians in the gesture suggested by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to show unity in the fight against Covid-19 pandemic. Union ministers like Amit Shah, Rajnath Singh, Ravi Shankar Prasad, Nitin Gadkari and Prakash Javadekar also participated in the collective gesture. Union health minister Harsh Vardhan lit diyas outside AIIMS in Delhi. Personnel of the Army and paramilitary also heeded the PM's call.
