Shivraj Chouhan declares 60-hour weekend lockdown in all MP cities

Madhya Pradesh cities to go under a weekend lockdown in view of Covid-19 situation. CM Shivraj Chouhan said lockdown will be enforced from Friday, 6 pm to Monday, 6 am. “A lockdown will be enforced in urban areas from Friday, 6 pm to Monday, 6 am. The crisis management group will hold meets in cities that are witnessing surge. The government is also identifying containment zones in big cities,” he said. In the past three weeks, the MP govt imposed lockdowns in Bhopal, Indore, Jabalpur, Gwalior on Sundays. MP reported over 4,000 fresh Covid cases On Wednesday, taking its tally to 3,18,014. According to the official date, 13 fatalities pushed the state's death toll to 4,086.
