Covid update: On-demand tests; Delhi’s highest spike; 80 more special trains

From Delhi's highest single-day spike in 71 days to additional 80 special trains, here are the top updates on coronavirus pandemic. ICMR allowed on-demand testing for Covid-19, in an advisory issued on Saturday. However, the states can modify the advisory as per their requirement. Delhi High Court had asked states to re-strategise their policies for asymptomatic cases. Meanwhile, Railways has decided to start 80 more special trains from September 12, reservations for which can be done starting September 10.
