India recorded the biggest single-day spike of 40,425 fresh cases in 24 hours. While there are 'success stories' like Delhi that seem to have to have turned the clock on Coronavirus, there are new hotspots that are emerging around the country. Covid projections in the coming month looks dismal as the country could witness up to 50,000 deaths. However, the government maintains that the fatality rate in India is 'progressively falling' and is amongst the lowest in the world.
