Thousands of migrant workers gathered in Ghaziabad's Ramlila Ground to book tickets for special trains leaving for Uttar Pradesh. At least three Shramik special trains are scheduled to leave for Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday. In Sonipat, a migrant worker spoke on the arrangements made for transportation. The worker, who wants to return to his home town in Uttar Pradesh, said there has been misinformation by the police and authorities. “They should not have called us here if they had not made arrangements,” the worker said. “If I have to die in this pandemic, I prefer dying at home,” he added.
