Watch: Indian Air Force transports oxygen tanks to hospitals across India

- As reports of oxygen shortage continue to pour in from hospitals across the, the government has now pressed the Indian Air Force into service. The AIF has been transporting medical personnel, critical equipment and medicines to COVID-19 hospitals and facilities across the country. The Indian Air Force also tweeted to confirm that C-17 and IL-76 aircraft airlifted cryogenic oxygen containers from Air Force Station Hindan to Panagarh for recharging and added that similar tasks are being undertaken across the country. Earlier, defence minister Rajnath Singh had held a meeting with three service chiefs and ordered them to allow use of defence facilities to treat civilian Covid patients.
