• US has lauded the role of Indian pharmaceutical companies and added that it is looking forward to an ‘overarching’ memorandum of understanding to enhance health partnership with India. ‘We are working together with India on developing diagnostics, therapeutics, vaccines to combat COVID-19 and to recognise the importance of manufacturing critical drugs during this time and making them accessible globally,’ US State Department spokesperson Ned Price said. ‘India's pharmaceutical sector is strong and well-established and has long played a central role in manufacturing life saving vaccines for global use.
