After scoring an important fifty, Ravindra Jadeja said that he was trying to deliver his best. Jadeja's fighting 58-run knock helped India to post 297 batting first against West Indies. In reply, Ishant Sharma took 5 wickets as India reduced the hosts to 189 for 8. Jadeja also picked up the wicket of debutant Sharmarh Brooks for 11.
