Fresh reporting is raising new questions about U.S. military vulnerability in the Gulf after claims that Iranian missiles struck the Combined Air Operations Center at Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar during the opening phase of the 2026 U.S.-Iran war. According to Defence Security Asia, the strike directly hit the CAOC complex, a critical hub long used to coordinate American and coalition air operations across the wider Middle East.
