A tree's trunk calls the faithfuls in Kashmir

The trunk of a tree that has assumed the shape of Lord Ganesha at Aakora village in Mattan block of Anantnag District in the State of Jammu and Kashmir. Consequently, there has been a beeline of faithful devotees from far and near, all eager to have a glimpse of this 'divine creation'. In fact, Mattan fifty kilometres from Srinagar , is known as the region of temples because of numerous places of worship, the Bawan Golden Temple being one among them. Most of the temples are dedicated to Lord Shiva.
