A court in Vadodara issued a bailable warrant against Bollywood sex siren Mallika Sherawat on Monday in a seven-year-old obscenity case. The actress faces the threat of a non-bailable warrant now if she remains absent in the court on 19th August. Narendra Tiwari, the then president of Baroda Bar Association, had filed a complaint against Sherawat and the owners of J W Marriot Hotel, Mumbai, in January 2007 over her allegedly obscene dance performance on December 31, 2006 at a New Year's Eve programme, seeking action under section 294 of Indian Penal Code.
