Cash-strapped Mumbai Film Festival launched after Bollywood comes to the rescue

Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan kick-started the 16th Mumbai Film Festival which was attended by several Bollywood biggies. The film festival, which was earlier short on sponsors, was rescued by Bollywood as stars like Akshay Kumar, Deepika Padukone, Ranbir Kapoor, Kiran Rao came out to express support.
