Fighting monsoon diseases with rat meat!

Its bizarre but true. Villagers are fighting monsoon diseases with a delicacy made of rat meat with herbs. The bizarre preparation is confined to a tribal community in Kerala's Kottayam district. And the larger the rats are, the better they are considered to be. Around 50 families belonging to a backward class believe rat meat has medicinal values to fight seasonal diseases, especially during the monsoon season.
