As the artists prepare themselves for one of the oldest forms of theatre in the region, the excitement and the zeal is palpable. A chaotic green room crammed with artists meticulously applying makeup so that nothing goes awry on stage. Such sincerity only shows the popularity of mime in the state that was slowly losing its lustre.Mime theatre art, known as 'Mukabhinaya' in India is an art of silent gestures. It is the representation of actions, characters, moods through the use of gestures and movements without any dialogues.
