Murugan festival celebrated in TN

Thousands of devotes converged at the famous Vadapalani Dandayudhapani temple in Chennai, to celebrate the festival of Lord Murugan. The devotees carrying milk pots made a bee-line to Vadapalani temple. According to the priest of the temple, offering a bow typed Kaavadi to Muruga ushers wealth to the devotee. Devotees walked around the lanes of the city with trident-like spikes in the chests and back, as a mark of their reverence to Lord Murgan.
