In a fiery new speech, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has declared what he calls a political and diplomatic "attack" on Israel’s capital, just hours after Donald Trump’s surprise visit to the region for a Gaza peace deal. Erdoğan hailed the Sharm El-Sheikh declaration signed with Trump, Egypt’s President Sisi, and Qatar’s Emir Tamim as a “milestone toward lasting peace”, but his sharp words on Jerusalem signal a new phase of confrontation.
