E-rickshaw battery 'hacking': govt bans 3 apps after viral videos of vehicles being halted abruptly

The Indian government has ordered the removal of three mobile applications allegedly being misused to remotely switch off e-rickshaws and other battery-operated vehicles in the middle of journeys. According to sources, the apps — BAT-BMS, Lossigy, and Epoch-i-ion — have been directed to be taken down, with authorities warning that any similar apps found to be facilitating such misuse will also be blocked.
