U.S. President Donald Trump signed an executive order on Monday (May 05) that aims to reduce the time it takes to approve pharmaceutical plants in the country, as part of new regulations to encourage domestic manufacturing. Trump signed the order during an event in the Oval Office in which he also told reporters he would make announcements in the coming weeks on the cost of drugs as well as pharmaceutical tariffs.
