‘Didn’t deserve to win,’ says England captain after losing to Sri Lanka

Commenting on England's defeat at the hands of Sri Lanka at the World Cup, the former's captain, Eoin Morgan, said that his side didn't deserve to win. Despite Lanka setting a modest target of 232, the hosts struggled to overcome their opponents' bowling attack. With Lasith Malinga picking up 4 wickets, and Dhananjaya de Silva sending 3 batsmen back to the pavilion, England were bowled out for just 212. Morgan said that his team wasn't able to build partnerships.
