England captain ‘exceptionally pleased’ with Joe Root after win over Windies

England captain Eoin Morgan said he was 'exceptionally pleased' with Joe Root after the latter's century helped the hosts defeat West Indies. Playing in Hampshire, England bowled the Windies out for 212 in 44.4 overs. Chasing the target, Root's ton helped the English side easily win in just 33.1 overs. Praising the batsman, Morgan said that Root was an 'important player' for the side.
