Skipper Faf du Plessis said he felt he batted well in the WC tournament. He said, “I mean I've personally felt like I've batted really well throughout the tournament. I've been getting starts. Been feeling good. I just haven't been able to convert it into big scores. But I suppose there's always that fine balance when you are chasing big scores that you have to go through times of risks and times of just playing the pace of the innings.” Ousted South Africa beat Sri Lanka by 9 wickets but the Proteas are already out of the tournament after winning only 2 out of 8 games.
