14-year-old Dalit girl found hanging from a tree

A 14-year-old Dalit girl was found hanging from a tree at Dhureta village in Sambhal district under Hayatnagar police station on Tuesday afternoon. According to her family, she had gone out to collect fodder but did not return home. Police found a stock of fodder and a bag of mulberry near the tree. The girl and her sisters were at home as their mother was away to Etah for a religious function. Their father works in a private company in Moradabad and brother was away to Allahapur village to visit another sister, police said. For more stories, watch video.
